Teacher Name: mr. robert boutiler
School: west springfield middle school
Reason for Entry: Mr.Boutiler is my world geography teacher. He is mine and alot of other students favorite teacher because he helps us to succeed at anything that we put our mind to. There are alot of other teachers that you could pick from sure their good, but i know that you should pick Mr.Boutiler for teacher of the month. There is no one that is in Mr.Boutiler's class that is not doing well. Everyone in his class has a very, very good grade. That is because he doesn't just give you work and expect you to do it on your own he will give you all the help you will need. Mr.B, thats our nickname for him, will help you all you need but he still challenges you to world geography that you never thought that you could ever remember. He doesnt just teach boring things, he always finds fun but educational things that make learnig that certain lesson that we are learning. For example we were just learning about India and we learned about Bolliwood dancing by watching little girls actually from India and then we have a Bolliwood dance contest. We also learned about the caste system and we played a game that showed us excactly how the caste system works. Like i mentioned Mr.Boutiler shound definitely get teacher of the month.
Gr. 2 & 3 - St. Mary's in Ware | Mrs. Maryann Fabrycki
Mrs. Fabrycki should be Country Bank's Teacher of the Month for her pure dedication to her students and our school. Mrs. Fabrycki is an energetic, caring, second grade teacher. She has an interactive classroom and thoroughly prepares her students for the future. She facilitates the students learning through projects including making volcanoes, President Book report (student's prepare the book report in a shoe box depicting the President and writing down facts), Planet boxes to learn the Solar System, and monthly book reports done on shape cut-outs appropriate for the time of year (for example in December report was done on a dog wearing a Christmas hat).
She also runs a "store" in the classroom. Students earn money in a variety of ways including helping classmates, answering trivia questions (math, science, social studies, religion, etc.), helping to keep classroom clean or helping the teacher. Student's also learn the importance of good behavior as they can also "lose" money for poor behavior. This store helps them learn how to count money and the value of money.
In addition to her teaching classroom responsibilities (for which she does a a substantially lower pay rate since she works in a small parochial school), Mrs. Fabrycki takes on several extracurricular activities. She organizes the yearly Christmas show for the school and is also the coordinator for the after school drama club.
My son John who is now in 3rd grade thought she was the best and my other son Andrew is in her class this year and thinks she "rocks"!!! Even if she doesn't get this award in our hearts she IS the "Teacher of the Month!!" We wish there were more teachers out there like her!!!
Teacher Name: Noreen Williams
School: Samuel Bowles Elementary
My daughter, Jayme attending her first year of "Big Girl School" this past September. Jayme was a little nervous at first but Ms. Williams made her feel really comfortable. She will take the extra time not only with Jayme but with all her students that I can see to help them. She is definitely making learning fun for the kids. She encourages the students with stars, stickers, and words of encouragement on their papers.
Ms. Williams also made me feel at ease. It all started the day of our Parent Orientation, which also ended up being the day of the September Tornadoes. I had arrived early and instead of making me wait or pushing me through the process, Ms. Williams took the time to explain everything to me. She was very kind and answered all of my 100's of questions. She made me feel at ease, which was very much appreciated since I was a first time mom & first/only child attending kindergarten.
Ms. Williams still, to this day, will take the time to talk to me or email me if I have any concerns with Jayme. She will explain things to me several times if I need it. She has taken extra time with me to give me tools to work with my daughter at home so that she can excel at school.
Ms. Williams has made this experience an amazing experience for myself and most of all for my daughter Jayme. If there were more teachers like Ms. William our children would be so much better off.
It takes a lot to be a teacher, especially a kindergarten teacher. I appreciate everything that Ms. Williams does and glad to have her teaching my daughter.
This is why I think Ms. Noreen Williams should be the teacher of the month.
