May 2013 Teacher of the Month
Mr. Scherpa Birchland Park Middle School
Mr. Scherpa should definitely be your next teach of the month. Mr. Scherpa has many years of teaching experience and worked briefly as a principal. He is currently the best 8th grade social studies teacher you could find. He makes learning fantastic. He uses his resources and turns work into competitions such as Run for Congress (a political memory and running competition) and Landmark Challenge (receiving clues and finding various landmarks). Each day he plays a song related to the lesson of the day, like “Ghost Buster’s” or The Beatles “Tax Man”, he always comes up with something new. I have learned more with this style of teaching than I ever have before. You should clearly pick Mr. Scherpa as teacher of the month!
