Gr. 2 & 3 - St. Mary's in Ware |  Mrs. Maryann Fabrycki

Mrs. Fabrycki should be Country Bank's Teacher of the Month for her pure dedication to her students and our school.   Mrs. Fabrycki is an energetic, caring, second grade teacher.  She has an interactive classroom and thoroughly prepares her students for the future.  She facilitates the students learning through projects including making volcanoes, President Book report (student's prepare the book report in a shoe box depicting the President and writing down facts), Planet boxes to learn the Solar System, and monthly book reports done on shape cut-outs appropriate for the time of year (for example in December report was done on a dog wearing a Christmas hat).

She also runs a "store" in the classroom.  Students earn money in a variety of ways including helping classmates, answering trivia questions (math, science, social studies, religion, etc.), helping to keep classroom clean or helping the teacher.  Student's also learn the importance of good behavior as they can also "lose" money for poor behavior.  This store helps them learn how to count money and the value of money.

In addition to her teaching classroom responsibilities (for which she does a a substantially lower pay rate since she works in a small parochial school), Mrs. Fabrycki takes on several extracurricular activities.  She organizes the yearly Christmas show for the school and is also the coordinator for the after school drama club.

My son John who is now in 3rd grade thought she was the best and my other son Andrew  is in her class this year and thinks she "rocks"!!!   Even if she doesn't get this award in our hearts she IS the "Teacher of the Month!!"  We wish there were more teachers out there like her!!!
