In honor of the 100th anniversary of Fenway Park's opening game, this Friday's Sox/Yankees game at Fenway will feature both teams in "vintage" uniforms.

They haven't revealed the actual uniforms yet, but hopefully they'll be true to the original wool style of 1912.  

What we DO get to see are the hats both teams will wear.  And it looks like they've been modernized by New Era with the popular flat brim style.  Pretty sure starting pitcher "Smoky Joe" Wood wasn't wearing that!

Gotta love the irony of having throwback hats designed by a company named New Era.   Oh well... money talks and authenticity walks.
