Hampden County Public Hearing on Women's Issues

The Hampden County Commission on the Status of Women and Girls (HCCSWG) invites citizens of Hampden County to share testimony and relay experiences or concerns about issues relating to women and girls in the region, including what it means to be a woman or girl in Hampden County on Thursday November 8, 2018 at the Chicopee Boys and Girls Club, 580 Meadow Street Chicopee, MA 01013 from 6-7:30 PM. The hearing is open to the public. Written or oral statements will be accepted.

Information presented at the hearing will be used by the Commission to inform its legislative work and to advocate for the needs of Hampden County women and girls with state officials. The HCCSWG is a regional branch of the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women established in April 2016 by the Massachusetts Legislature. The Commission, made up of nine women from Hampden County, works to advance women and girls toward full equity in all areas of life and to promote rights and opportunities for all women and girls. It strives to provide a permanent, effective voice for women and girls across Hampden County that facilitates and fosters community, inclusion and connection among women.
